This Limited Edition of Classic Camera Prints depicts the rangefinder camera not only as a classic photographic tool but also as a work of art.
Inspiration for this series has arisen from my love of illustration and photography, the combination of these two subjects has enabled me to produce this unique series of classic camera prints.
The original illustrations have been drawn by hand using traditional rendering techniques and materials.
World famous camera brands such as Nikon, Leica, Contax, Olympus, and Bronica are amongst some of the names included in the series, further models will be added to the series in the future.
The Leica 1A camera illustrations show the developing design stages of the camera, from the sketched ideas, and detail drawings, through to the finished design sheet. Using my artistic licence I imagined Oskar Barnack the originator of the Leica to have produced his sketches and drawings in this style. The uniqueness of these prints has been increased as hand written annotations are included in the process, some editions are reworked by hand with additions of colour or detail, making the prints unique and increasing to their collectable value.
The print run has been limited to just 200 for each motive and colour, each print is hand signed and numbered, and printed on archival quality matt, acid free paper in the format 13x19 inches (329x483mm). Image size approximately 300 x 410 cm.
